From the day I started – actually, from the moment I first contacted them – everyone at The Guinness Partnership has been really helpful and supportive. My first job was as a customer service advisor. That was back in 2005. I've had five different jobs since then and have moved from customer service to IT, which is where I am now. Guinness invests in your professional development. You have regular one-to-ones and appraisals, and it's always clear what's expected of you and, of course, what you can expect from Guinness.

You have your own career development plan and you're encouraged and supported to learn skills, try new things and develop your career. In my time here, I've received funding to attend college; I've completed an Institute of Leadership and Management award and I've been on a number of IT service management courses. And while I've only just started my current role of business relationship manager, I'm already booked on a very good course to develop my skills.

Whatever stage you're at in your career, you're encouraged to fulfil your potential and you receive the investment to do so. As well as the career development, the salaries and rewards are very competitive – plus you're able to top them up. But more than anything, I love the fact that my work benefits our customers.
