I think Guinness attracts people who want to make a difference. A lot of our employees are working in challenging frontline jobs and are very conscientious and compassionate people.

When I joined Guinness in 2012 I was attracted to working for an organisation that is making a difference across the country.

Customer service is at the focus of everything we do, and is the foundation of our culture across the organisation.

My role is varied in terms of the different teams I'm working with each day and the variety of challenges that provides. Sometimes you can be visiting a construction site and other times you can be travelling to our London office.

It's a sociable place to work and the teamĀ  is very busy: you need to be willing to work hard and work well together. The structure of the HR department gives me wide ranging experience across all the business functions.

The 35-hour week gives you a good work life balance and the benefits are excellent.
