I go home each day with a really rewarding feeling having enjoyed the company of some really interesting people.

What attracted me to Guinness was that due to the size of the organisation there are so many different career opportunities available in care. But what keeps me here are the people, not only the other carers but also the customers. I love hearing our customers' stories; you get to meet some really interesting people who really value the help that you are giving them. Which means that I get a really rewarding feeling when I go home each day.

Since joining I've enjoyed a real variety of training to help me progress in my role, from manual handling, and medication support, to the safeguarding of our customers. I'm also currently working towards my QCF Level 2 qualification in Health & Social Care. It was the opportunities for training and progression that really stood out for me when I was making the decision to join Guinness. But the rewards and benefits are also good, including a great pension package.

Guinness employees are friendly and the social life's good for both employees and customers in our care homes. We arrange lots of social activities for our residents and get to go out on regular day trips with them. If someone was looking to join Guinness, they wouldn't have to look much further than the people, the training and the opportunity to progress, to see that it's a great place to work.
